Why Dr. Seuss Books Are Perfect For Reading Aloud

Rhyming and more rhyming make them great.

Children love the sound of words especially when they are in rhyme. That is why the books written by Dr. Seuss are so great! I can still remember and recite the text of many Dr. Seuss books thanks to countless hours of reading them aloud to my seven children while they were growing up.
The type of rhyming he used is easy to say and helps the hearer remember the story. They are the ultimate Read-Aloud book for kids.
Think of couplets like: "would you eat them on a boat, would you eat them with a goat", "one fish two fish, red fish blue fish".
